Remarks: This is a superb dinosaur egg putatively from an Oviraptor,
meaning ''egg robber''. Oviraptors laid their eggs in nests of
a
dozen or more eggs. This egg has been painstakingly prepared with
microair by perhaps the best dinosaur egg preparators in the U.S.,
and a process that took many hours. This cleaning process is needed
to fully reveal the beautiful black egg shell you see here. |
