come from this famous quarry located at Mt. Orab, Ohio. This large
adult specimen is no exception. It is fully prone, flawless and
inflated. The brachiopod also exhibits life-like preservation.
The trilobite was prepared out of the matrix in which it was found.
The brachiopod was composited onto the plate for a pleasing aesthetic
effect.

is 1 5/16”. Flexicalymene is 1 1/2” in length,
and the Isotelus is 3 7/8” in length, on a 5 ¼”
x 3 ¼” matrix base
Fossil Location: Arnheim Member of the Richmond Formation,
Mt. Orab, Ohio
Description: His large adult specimen is no exception. It
is fully prone, flawless and inflated. What makes this plate
so fascinating is the Flexicalymenes position on the left
side pygidium of a fairly large incomplete Isotelus maximus.
I must say it is quite an impressive visual treat. For the
sake of full disclosure, it appears the Flexicalymene was
either re-seated, or, stabilized to hold position on the pygidium.
