Comments: Arguably, some of the best-preserved trilobites in the world come from this famous quarry located at Mt. Orab, Ohio. This large adult specimen is no exception. It is fully prone, flawless and inflated. The brachiopod also exhibits life-like preservation. The trilobite was prepared out of the matrix in which it was found. The brachiopod was composited onto the plate for a pleasing aesthetic effect.

Comments: This medium sized specimen is a dark chocolate brown color, perfectly preserved, fully 3-D, with intact genal and pleural spines. It resides comfortably on a small plate of Marjum shale. It is a classic species from one of the world’s most important Cambrian trilobite localities. This comes from a small lot of Modocia trilobites I just purchased. They have become uncommon over the last few years, as the sites have not been collected professionally.
