Comments: Brachyspidion microps is an exceptionally small trilobite
species. This one is a mid-sized adult. Its preservation is excellent.
Note the robust cephalon and the unusual occipital spine dropping
from the occipital lobe onto the first axial ring. It was prepared
using air abrasion.

Comments: This is a beautifully preserved and displayed specimen
of this classic New York species. It is large and contrasts well
against the gray background matrix. It was amongst the first American
trilobites formally described. Note the early date above, in 1852,
by James Hall. Hall became the first state paleontologist of New
York State in 1841.

Comments: Ampyxina bellatula are an interesting blind trilobite
from Missouri. They are one of the more common trilobites found
in the USA. This plate contains three individuals, two in a cozy
association. The single individual was re-attached to the matrix.

centered on a solid piece of Weeks limestone. Weeks trilobites are
known for their excellent 3D preservation and color. Cedaria minor
are the most common species found in the Weeks formation. They are
a small sized genus with a simple, yet pleasing shape.

Comments: Arguably the best-preserved trilobites in the world come
from this famous quarry located at Mt. Orab, Ohio. This large adult
specimen is no exception. It is fully prone, flawless and inflated.
The brachiopod also exhibits life-like preservation. The trilobite
was prepared out of the matrix in which it was found. The brachiopod
was composited onto the plate for a pleasing aesthetic effect.
